Hometown Mountain Heritage Festival

Demonstrations go on all day showing how many items were made and used in the ‘old days.’  Items created and sold at the Festival include hand-churned butter, hand-built furniture, baskets, belts and clothing accessories, hand-made candles and more.

Face-painting, parades, clowns, races, cotton candy, ice cream, contests, toys and so much more to entertain the kids!  The entire family will have the time of their lives at the Hometown Mountain Heritage Festival.

The Hometown Mountain Heritage Festival is Fayette County, WV’s premier Heritage Festival.  Each June, the town of Ansted becomes a living telling of the story of Appalachia’s history.  This event celebrates West Virginia and Appalachia with three days of old-fashioned fun.
